A new life around water.

Bostan 2.0 is a competition proposal for Kuzguncuk Bostanı that brings together rainwater harvesting, aquaponic cultivation and a steel structure. It seeks to strengthen the garden’s productive and ecological continuity in response to climate change, drought and urbanisation.

A central pond acts as a rainwater reservoir supplying the existing cultivation plots and vertical aquaponic units. Sunlight analysis informs the positioning of water tanks, while new paths allow visitors to experience the circulation of water and the cultivation process.

Rainwater collection surfaces and growing units are integrated with a steel structure informed by tensegrity principles. Steel cables and tubular columns keep circulation at ground level open. The architectural proposal was developed alongside load and structural analyses.
